Portable Rapidshare File Forum
Hi,
So I have an idea to make a single File Portable Forum, that can be used from any where via MAC or PC.
The idea being you have one app that finds you only rapidshare format files.
What are your thoughts peeps.

Could you tell us a little bit more about this app ? Because there are already especially rapidshare forums and search machines, so what would be the advantage ?
Regards,

It would be a portable application, so no having to download the interface all the time.
It would only accept rapidshare links.
I woul be linked to at least 300 posting networks, simply filtering out the non Rapidshare content.
It would allow users a desktop app to upload posts with.

Thats just the ideas so far I welcome more ideas

But what about hidden links ? And if we like to switch to the other side... what if the companies use this app to search for warez for reporting them to the hoster ?
Example:
Company XY searches for their new product: green apple v3.0 professional
The app would show every upload @ the forums to them, so they could create a log and send it next to the rapidshare headquarter...
A few clicks and all stuff would be gone !

Standard 7 Day Removal Policy as per DCMA, that means everything would live for 7 days

I think the app would be a well done help for rs-account-owners and @ the other side, the *evil* companies. But that's the game, right ?

Rapidshare isnt the best file share to use but it's the most widely used so you can find almost anything on it. Good idea though.

It boils down to opinion really I personlly think rapidshare premium is the best file share around.
The idea is to aim it at those in the scene that have premium accounts.
But if you know a more wideley used fileshare that has high end bandwith Im willing to consider doing a seperate branch for that server.

sounds great but i really dont like portable programs if this is what ur talking about...like for example i downloaded the portable diskeeper pro it never installed and i couldn't tell if it was even working, i did a manual defrag and it was done in like 30 mins and i haven't defrag in a long time and i have a 250gb hard drive that i just took off over 100gb off of it to another hard drive and it only took 30mins? seems questionable to me, im not saying all portable apps r bad but im never going to use another one i like to comfort of knowing it actually installed, now if ur saying a application thats portable that looks up only rapidshare files i probably never use it since when ur searching for rapidshare files its hard to tell what ur looking at since people renames things so much its hard to tell what ur looking at unless u went to the forum the guy uploaded and the comments r good then that wouldn't be a bad idea but just direct links to the rapidshare files i think its a bad idea people upload things under names all the time just for the points thats y i barley ever use search sites because u never know i stick to this site and only a few others for searching for files just because i trust most of the uploaders and im not wasting my download time for nothing. but its a good thought man especially if u can link it to great sites with trusted uploaders and u get to see pics and all and the review of comments then i would probably use it for a quick look for files would be awesome....

It would not be a ThinVM style portable, it would just be an EXE, that has no dependencies on the operating system.
I dont like Portablised VM apps or thinware, as they hide trojans and bot net drones way to well.
This EXE would simply not use the registry, or any system DLL's and such would not need to be "installed".
I would also make the same thing as a website version.
So people could use the install version or the web version online.
Its good to offer people a webversion as an ultimate safe version.
