O.K. Nobody has had any interest in this section; I'd like to change that.

As the name of the section states this should be about creating something special for our members.

We need to coordinate resources we have at our own forum, this meaning utilizing some of our member’s talents to help produce rewards for outstanding members of the forum that have earned it. Maybe custom avatars, sigs., stuff like that and whatever else one of you may come up with. A special section that only rewarded users could access? There are lots of possibilities here.

Creating something that would stimulate our members to really want to do a little more, become more active, have incentives to work toward. Breathe a little life into our already great forum.

I would like to see a member of the month award. I’m not exactly sure how to get that one going, maybe a poll? I realize that this also means more work on our part to make it happen. But I think it would be worth looking into.

If anyone is interested please post your thoughts or suggestions. If I get enough responses I will bring this to Wooops and uXu's attention and we’ll get the ball rolling

Well, I don't know.
We have a XXX password section that you have to start so many threads, and be here for so long... And all we get is bitching because it's too hard. So a special section would get the same response from the membership I believe.
Avatar request section where anybody & everybody can request an Avatar (and/or Signature) might evoke some interest (At least you have to post to request one)
And also provide competition amongst the GFX people to design them. (Maybe a forum to show off 'your' talents might encourage some activity.)
Member of the month -- You would have to work out the criterion, and possibly have a panel of 'judges' to avoid any bitching about 'mates' getting all the recognition, which could loose you members.

Just my thoughts, YMMV

Trust Me, We Should Get Some Point System Like vBplaza, Cause We Can Disabled The Name Change Color Stuff, But You Can Make Your Own Items, Aka 1.5 Points Per Post, 3 Points Per Thread, 100 Points Lets You Buy A Custom Sig/Avatar That SOmeone On The F4E Team Will Make.

I Think Plaza Also Enableds Awards And Ribbons, For Charitys Like Breast Cancer, But They can Be Changed

Not bad ideas, and thanks for the responses. We need to hear from more to really get everybody's input.

I figured we'd have more Mods and top users at least checking this out. But this thread is still young.

As far as member of the month I was thinking if we could get a poll going that could work or base it off of the number of times a person has been thanked. But I do understand there are lots of problems to come up as well, That's why I am looking for everybody to give their input and maybe we could work something out.

Even if none of what I've suggest is any good I'd like to see some kinda special projects going in here "creating cool F4E special releases for our fantastic members."

So come on and lets get some more ideas going.
We are a diverse group of human beings brought together on this one special forum. We come from all over the world, country after country, from all races, religions. If we were to pass each other on the street would we be as friendly to each other as we are here?

I just want to try something to get everybody more involved, at least those who are interested.

The problem I see is this: What can we give people that we aren't already giving them to be worth a significant effort? We already have a forum zone for that, after all.

That said, it's a good idea in theory. But how do we get it out of the theory stage?

first is to get every bodies ideas to see if it is even feasible.

The only way any new idea ever gets off the ground is by people pooling their ideas together and sorting thru the good and bad. It will take time to get something worked out.

I don't think it should be a contest. It should be something that goes to a member that by no other reasons than to be helping has helped the forum or others in a great way.

It is work! It is not easy! But it brings great things to life.

This may never go over, but what if it does?

I think a member of the month award would be a good Idea. And maybe the winner of it could get something like a 1 Month Rapidshare premium account. As the prize.

giving rapidshare account its good idea but the problem on it is because hat idea exist thats mean ( i have see long time ago that idea on another forum ) and i don't wanna Final4Ever copy idea's from other board's. Also we need to make something like special as others don't have it. We need to make them to stole idea's from us and i believe on that we can make it very soon..

Now matter what we come up with. It will have been used before my some other forum. Lets just come up with something that the Members will go for

Maybe Access To A Private FTP Server? Long Shot Cause That Would Cost Something To Setup

Maybe We Take The Whole Member Of The Month Thing Father, Like Members Of The Month, Week, Year. In Certain Areas That Show On Profiles And Stuff.

Example. Someone In Music Section Does Alot Of Threads Like Say 10 Threads Of Seperate Files And Music Albums, Who Ever Did Most, So Go By Threads But Check Them. Gets The Award, Rocker Of The Week
Or Let Him/Her Choose Custom Like Rapper Of The Week.

That Stays On Their Profile For A Month, Ya To Stop People Having A Monstar List, Just If Its The Week Award, Then It Stays On Their Profile 4 Three Weeks. Month One Stays For 3 Months, Year One Maybe Permement But Make It Like

Gamer Of The Year (2009)

2.) More Content For F4E, Aka More Members
