Default Game making guide and question

well i was just wondering how hard it would be to have no experience in coding or game making to make a simple game to be run on a site like myspace for money or even a freeware game like EWR (extreme wrestling revenge if u dont know what that is a simple search on google will show u the best freeware wrestling sim ever) for exposure would be to make? im hoping its not to hard i know nothing impossible to do but i just dont want to be stuck doing one simple thing like the main page for days before i even get into making the graphics and all of that good stuff. also is their any guides i should read to get me started? thanks in advance.

Hi,

Well your going to need to know how to program, that is not even optional.

Flash is your best bet for a web based game, and probably the easiest.

There are a number of books on the subject, Such as Flash for fun and games.

Essentially you make money by showing banners, these days a good flash game on Facebook with adverts could net you as much as 3000 dollars a day up to 25 000 a day.

New grounds and so on have been making millions for years with this concept.

I wont write games for you but if you get stuck along the way feel free to ask simple questions, I have written close on 30 flash games and larger projects for the now defunct Apogee, so I have some experiance in this.

Well CS4 and 8 are the more or less the same both offer Actionscript 3.

The choices are use Mx and below using actionscript 2 or learn to program in AS 3 or new actionscript.

AS3 is probably best.

Be sure to get titles like Flash for Fun and games or books about building a game in flash.

The examples will help greatly and explain the concepts of the basic engine types.

It would also mean with a little change to the graphics you would have a number of ready made game samples you could put on a site.
