Unhappy Seriously need help, please!!!

Ok so i dont know if i can explain this properly but ill try. Everytime ive had a problem ive asked on here an have been helped greatly to resolve my problems but ive got a new one. In my house we have 2 computers, a downstairs one (the main one, which is my parents) and my one in my bedroom, now we are using a Linksys Wireless-G 2.4 GHz broadband router so i can have the internet in my room (which im using a Belkin Wireless G USB network adapter 802.11 g 54 mbps to pick up the wireless signal). Recently ive started having a problem with my internet, i can log in to my msn messenger but cant access web pages, THIS is my problem, i get excellent signal strength but can not access www.google.co.uk, www.msn.com etc (basically i cant access any web page). Now ive tried spyware scans incase some how spyware is blocking my connection but to no avail, ive tried installing Mozilla Firefox but that hasnt helped. When i try to load a page i always get this or something similar in the bottom left of the window "connecting to site 216.239.59.99" on the odd occasion ive been able to access sites but only for a few seconds eg. i go on google, the page displays then i try to search for something but it only displays the "cannot find page" page, any help will be much appreciated and thanks in advance

P.S The downstairs computers internet connection is fine, thats how ive posted this. Thanks for taking the time to read ALL!!! of this

yes, I agree check your firewall first. you might even shut the firewall down temp. to see if there is some conflict. if that doesn't work try uninstalling your wireless software and re-installing it.
you are using the original software for your wireless router? I tried and aftermarket program to run my linksys and it would do what you are talking about.

[CENTER]well in a way i agree with what you are all saying in regards to the firewall, but you need to find out how the firewall of the wireless router is configured, personally i think that someone has configured it to restrict your web browsing capabilites. you need to get the manual of the router, and find out how to access the settings, most routers you just type in 10.1.1.1 into your browser address bar and your in, usually the login and password are both admin lowercase, please let us all know how you get on

STAY STRONG

He said he was using the other computer....

Try going to 192.168.1.1 This is the standard IP for linksys routers... the standard logon is u/n: (leave blank) p/w:admin

go to access restrictions>internet access and see if it is blocked for your computers ip, which can be found(at least in windows xp) by going to control panel>network connections... and right clicking on your wireless connection then selecting status and clicking support...
