I have been using a genuine XP copy for half a year or so. Yesterday I downloaded a game from final4ever and uninstalled it after a few hours of playing. I shut down and on switching on, Microsoft is telling me my copy is counterfeit, which is not true because it was distributed by Dell and has passed genuine check until now. This is just the checking process being stupid and seeing any piracy as Windows piracy I think. Anyone knows a way to fix this please?

Well best way is to run activation again, then phone microsoft, and tell them whats happening, and let them give you a new actication number.

Normally the windows malicisous software tool does that if it finds any versions of the windows genuine hack on your pc, installed or not.
