everytime the dvd is about to start burning i get a access violation at address OCB552D6 in module 'vso_hwe.dll'. read of address 00000000. im not sure what that means but i just noticed when i restart my pc it says autonfts not found i think it says that im going to have to look again next time i restart but it says something about autonfts like the abbreviation for the american dvd code isn't found...well i hope someone can help thanks a lot in advance.

Check your bios I think DMA is disabled its a method of memorey adressing that is relveant to get locked access to the drive, basicalyl it wants direct access to the memorey on the drive unit.

Sometimes an uinstall and reinstall of this paticular application helps. In fact according to the forums for the product, the most common solution is uinstall reboot twice and then reinstall. Wiered!!! Bad Code I say.

Yep convertedxtodvd has to install a special driver (vso burn engine) for the direct burn process but the error rate for this "plug-in" is very high so I would recommend to burn only via dvd-burn programs for example nero.
I had tested both via nero and vso and as I said before the burn or program error rate is much higher while using the direct burn engine. Just take a look in the help section of their forum you will find many thread about the mentioned plug-in.

yea i don't like nero just because u cant make chapters every 5 mins like convertxtodvd. now if u can i must of over looked this option plus nero is very hard to crack. thanks though i will try the help section related fixes. also i restarted my computer and this is the error i get authontfs not found. skipping autocheck....is this anything to do with it or is it a totally different problem? thanks a lot

It could be related to drive compression, a very dangerous feature because it prevents you from using recovery tools to get data back.

Its the only reference I could find to a file by that name which is very odd, becuse its means its not a common file and thus really shound not be in startup.

well that sucks...man i just need to find a good version of windows vista ultimate x86...i still haven't done a good search for it im really hoping i dont have to go through the whole thing of deleting windows and reinstalling it

What CPU do you have, if it supports 64bit instruction sets, you should really rather install x64

AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core processor 4400+ 2.30ghz...i thought x86 was the better one?
