folder and file acting wierd

ok i download shareza (yea i know) and on the program it shows everything i downloaded but if i go to my download folder nothing appears. i tried changing the permissions and everything on vista i even made shared hidden files r view able but i cant seem to get this to show any files unless im using the stupid program...buy the way im using vista...

Ok well problem one you installed mallware, OUCH, ok as for problem 2, go to your shareza and see where it saving stuff too.

Also check my downloads in the my documents folder.

never used it before what does shareza do exactly? i assume like limewire?

Shareza is a brach oof the old kazaa and morpheus networks. Its a p2p client that also has elements of gnutella, sadly to make money it started shipping and installing Whenu, Shopnet, Sell.buy.32 and other malware as part of its installer. It also changes the flavors of the malware from time to time.

its suppose to be installing to the folder i keep trying to view C:\Program Files\Shareaza\Downloads but now theirs 2 viewable files out of like 20....

The files will only show up when they are complete. In the mean time its propbably using a different folder for temporary files. You could also try to show hidden files and system files, they migh be visible.

Like I said the program actively installs malware on your machine so I dont run it.

is their a p2p that doesn't? also shareza says the files r done and completed and i have show hidden and system files selected and i still dont see them

Torrent apps like Bit commet and flashget work.

Personally I will stick to rapidshare. but yeah the only networks still surviving who dont have to sell your soul are the torrent nets. And even some torrent clients have shit.

Frostwire is about the friendliest of the P2P nets and bug free, but do expect 40% of what you DL to be trojans, since most Virus users and hacker wannabes know p2p users are less security conscious and most disable firewall for p2p usage.

frostwire is great. just be smart about it. dont download an entire song that is only 40kb or microsoft office suite that is onnly 50kb.

well im not using it to download programs or music but thanks, i just that shareza was good because it taps into 2 different file community's. but thanks i'll give those a look.
