hi !

Xtream ...I'am surfing internet with 2 routers one is modem less , other one is
wireless modem.This I have done due to my budjet.Both are connected.
Rj 45 cable in 1 router is connected to other router ethernet port.

laptop-wireless
I have a laptop and a desktop.

adsl prolink modem router - 192.168.1.1
belkin 54g wireless G router (No modem) - 192.168.2.1

I have configure belkin router as a switch due to poor connection.only switch
previledges are given.

Some how now I need to access belkin routers default gateway to add a wireless password .I cant access it why?

according to my friend's advice I change the ip address also.priority problem
I have manually configured my 2 pc s.

desktop - 192.168.1.8
laptop - 192.168.2.1

I'am asking a solution for this problem

Your problem is your IP ranges

192.168.1.xxx is a class A that means its subnet is
255.255.255.0 which means it will never see 192.168.2.xxx

Change the Belkin to 192.168.1.55 then it will all work.
