i bet i can tell just by so many topics...so xtreme when u going to let us help lol its been like a week . oh by the way man i got a graphic card! wooo i got the ati radeon 4850 my friend said its the later edition then i asked for i think i told him the one u post 4650. but i see there coming out with a 4580 i think. the thing was fucking massive man! i had to take my hard drive and all the cables out to get this to fit and put everything back together lol it looks like a external hard drive. i finally got it in though and running but i got a question, it had this be connected to 2 individual pci 6 or 8 pin power cables but i only got one. is this ok or do i need to get something else so i can have another one? thanks so much man

if you are gonna have more than one card you're gonna need another power connector for it.

no i only got one card the other was in the motherboard

Well if it has 2 sockets on the card, you probably need both you can get a splitter from your pc store that will give you more of those outlets

But I hear you on the size thing a friend of mine has the 4870 x 2 - the graphics card came in a box the size of a pizza box and takes up 3 slots to fit, its like something out of a space ship, also when its running the case temp rises like 15 degrees (c)

But the performance is awesome, yesterday he added a solid state drive, OMG, he now bechmarks 3 times higher!!!

lol is the 4650 old or new? i really dont see a difference im guessing since i didnt add the two connections so im going to have to go and get one

The 4650 is an older model by now, the ATI range works on the higher the number the better the card.

the 4650 is just a really good buget card - it requires no extra power connectors, its not the fastest card they make by any means - but it scores a 5.2 out of 5 on vista, so its still very good bang for your buck.

ok cool well im glad he at least gave me this one, the one i asked for was in another store so im sure they just told him it was the latest so they can get the buy but at least its good
