So I often get asked to recommend Hardware here and usually with a budget.
Here is a machine I built for my best friend, It cost less than the Acer Predator (a lot less) and scores more than double in PC Mark Vantage.

So here is the spec for what I consider a Good Rig with a budget.

Oh and don't get sad if your machine scores badly in PC Mark it is the meanest test there is for a pc as far as synthetic benchmarking goes.

Load time on MS Word 2007 = 1.3 seconds
Load time Photoshop CS4 = 3.8 seconds

Yeah I would have done the usual Prime etc, but since their is no online database to compare against, I went with Vantage as the hardest benchmarker that had comparisons, I like that the nearest system it could compare it to is the strongest gaming pc in the world
