Thumbs up Firefox Link Checker

The best way to know whether links are dead or alive is, you need to use firefox browser; then you download add-on "greasemonkey" and add script "rapidshare link checker and universal link checker" and restart urfirefox.

Follow the steps below:

Rapidshare and UniversalAutomatic Link Checker.

1. Download/upgrade to lastest Firefox

Code:
http://en-us.www.mozilla.com/en-US/]Mozilla | Firefox web browser & Thunderbird email client

2. Install Greasemonkey from add-on link below:

Code:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748

3. Restart Firefox.

4. Then download user script below (or click "Install this script" at top right hand corner):

Code:
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/9467]Rapidshare Links Checker for Greasemonkey
Code:
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/24953]Universal Links Checker for Greasemonkey

5. Restart Firefox.

Now everytime you open any page containing rapidshare, filefactory, megaupload, easy-share, megashare and a few other links, the script will check automatically whether they are still alive or valid.

i noticed one bad thing though sometimes for the rapidshare it only checks up to the # part of the link and leave the file out for example

Code:
www.rapidshare.com/1234123123/
would be the link instead of it doing the whole thing its kinda of annoying also is there one for ugotfile? im trying to get a link checker for every site be much easier to post dead links this way huh lol

Not that I know of , to make it work in opera you just go
TOOLS >> PREFRENCES >> ADVANCED >> CONTENT

Javascript Options

At the bottom specify, use this folder, put the scripts in it, and your A for away

There is a link to the opera version there.

Since all FF scripts come from the opera engine
