I have Acer Aspire 5050 llaptop but I have a problem with the Slot of Ram memory, that is slot 1. RAM memory I have is 1024MB-667MHz DDR2-667 PC2-5300, 200p SODIMM, 1.8v

- I have done BIOS update
- Slot 2 works normal
- I have tried with other ram memory 1 GB
- No operating system problem
- Ramin Memotest86 + test I made no erorr
- I removed other components that are

When put in Slot 1 RAM memory that I have in Slot 2 new screen turns off and the DVDRW llaseri ticking, all options that I know of tried but in vain.

Are there any that will help me?

if its part of the motherboard and it goes bad far as i know its easier to by a new one. sorry i really dont know the answer to ur question but im sure xtreme will be on soon. but i think ur going to need a whole new mother board i cant see u taking off the ram part and replacing it. did u try looking with a magnifying glass and flash light maybe something got stick in there or bent maybe theres a chance u can fix it i dunno lol sorry

Your two ram modules are incompatible, all laptops come with a list of which makes and modules work with exact model numbers.

Make sure to get 2 ram modules of the exact same brand.
Also make sure that the total does not exceed the mother boards maximum capacity.

Also note if you are running a 32 bit (x86) operating system you may not exceed 3 gb of addressable ram.

wow i didnt know lab tops was that crappy that must really suck. i done had 3 of them and 2 of them r broke....

Actually the same rules apply to pcs
