opinion on vista

Im just wondering what everyone thinks about windows vista? i have the rc1 i believe and im not all that impressed. it needs alllooot of perfecting.

I guess that Vista will need some time to stabilize, just like every new product. So it's no use to rush to buy it...

I think so too, never be an initial "beta tester deluxe" unless the stuff is on the market for a few month.
I guess the MS people had some pressure to release, after announcing it for so long. The LONGHORN stuff was a long story as well, wasn't it?

I got to beta test vista on my alienware and I can say I wasn't proud on bit since it lagged with a dual processor and over 2 gigs of ram.

you guys are out of mind. vista will again will be one of the worst products of the year. it is better to wait at least an year to start using unless you want it to keep crashing.

i have a core 2 duo and 2 gig ram and i dont want to use vista i cause of less stability

well...i installed vista twice in my pcebtium 4 2.8 gigahz 1giga ram 265 screen card......for the first look i was impressed, it had been installed in less than 30 minutes! and also it works faster than xp...anywway....it took me two days to find the drivers for it..even thought it wasnot the original drivers...! i installed battlefield 2 (my favorite only game) and also it works fine!
however two days after.. every thing goes wrong..too much usage from the game! almost 700 mega..and it was so slow so i cannot play the game even!
in the end i backed to xp 2....
to whose people who liked the look of vista..it doesnot worth it! nothing else better than xp...also there is a packge called BLACK XP, it bring your xp to look like vista exactly......but keeps xp!!!

working with vista is such a slow experience if you have a decent setup of xp. it walks on a very fine line that crosses into mac land by thinking every user that ever uses it knows nothing about computers
