Day Break is a 13 hour-long miniseries on ABC in the United States and on Global in Canada on November 15, 2006, filling in for Lost's 12-week intermission. The series stars Taye Diggs as Detective Brett Hopper.
Using a similar premise to the movies Groundhog Day and Christmas Every Day, Hopper relives the same day over and over. On that day he is framed for the murder of an assistant district attorney. The series revolves around his attempt to solve the mystery of the murder.
The show has also been picked up by Bravo in the UK.

Day Break Season 1 Episode 01 - Pilot (S01E01)
When Detective Brett Hopper woke up this morning, he thought it was a normal day, a day like any other one, but he rapidly learned that he is accused of killing Assistant District Attorney Alberto Garza. Even after offering a solid alibi, no one buys his story. The next morning, when he wakes up, he finds out that he is reliving the same day and that his loved ones are in danger.
