I was actually thinking about buying Windows Vista Ultimate version. Any one have any input? Much apprecaited.

hi ive got windows vista its very good to use but stil many drivers r still missing so thats the main prob with vista for the time being

I'm pro XP and anti Vista. I tried out vista on my friend's computer and hated it tons. Its missing A LOT of drivers which XP already has and I have problems running some programs.

Doesn't hurt to get Vista though so do what you please 8)

I heard by....MANY and read MANY reviews on windows vista, it is currently a piece of crap as far as I hear, Alot of smart people are sticking with XP and waiting for MS to patch up vista a bit so it is a little more secure and at the same time has less errors. I would personally wait man.

vista gives error with .dll files in several games.

Vista being the newest OS it’s time to check it out & yes it sucks with the usual bugs, so it is installed in my wife’s computer.
I still prefer XP Pro now that I have full control of it,
Don’t buy the M$ Vista until the bugs are removed. Use the many free versions out in Warez land

Most of the good firewalls / virus programs not Vista ready.

obtained from this site. I refuse to use Norton because of the full control it takes of the computer & the long manual fight in the registry to completely get rid of its foot print.
My own personal opinion over the yrs of trying / using Norton products, I’m
not looking for a fight.

vista has a lot to offer and its been long enough for them to have fixed most of the bugs on it. ive tried it on a friends comp and its not too bad. reviews say its firewall is safer than any mac os but give it time and people will hack vista since its poplular with a lot of people. i would stick with xp pro cause there a many game compatibility issues with vista. if it werent for that, it would be a coin toss between the two for me.
