how to boot from HDD?

i have a orginal winxp cd and i had formated my pc nearly 20 times:S
but i have to install driver and programs and security programs again every time i format the hdd...
i want to make a hdd and when i boot from the hdd and install winxp, i want that all the program and the security programs and my pictures shud be installed...

i hope some one understand and help me soon.cuz its very important for me

Don't Format your HDD, if any problem you can use sytem restore on winXP
if isn't work, use u'r original WinXP to repair - NOT NEW INSTALATION.
All your Program, AV, will still on theere.

but if your system is not work with all option, you must istall all program on u'r computer.

use some back-up software!!!

first time when you install all you need software and drivers make backup of HDD

and any time after you format HDD you came back all software from your copy

try Norton Goust or some else software

you press Delt in Booting go to Bios and set boot from CDRom

if you always format the HDD, you should try the norton ghost. and put it on a spare HDD as backup, so when you need it, just ghost again to the HDD you are using.

Install WinXp and all the stuff you need, and than use Ghost to clone XP Pro
