what are torrents because I found a few german sites with torrents

i downloaded them but i couldn't do anything with theem?

to download the file you wanted, torrents files are only step no 1.

you need to download a torrent client. .there are a lot of them, here are 2 examples you can find from this link:

1. www.bitlord.com
2. www.bitcomet.com

after you download the client, open the torrent file with the client you have dowloaded and your download to the real file you want begins.

to get more info, read the client help files, i am sure you will get how torrent works in no time.
